Background
Psalm 131
Lord, my heart is not haughty,
Nor mine eyes lofty,
Neither do I exercise myself in great matters,
In things to high for me.
Surely I have quieted myself,
Like a child weaned of her mother.
My soul is even as a weaned child.
Let the nations hope in the Lord,
From henceforth and forever.
Movement 3 from Songs of Ascent:
Psalm 131: “Lord, my heart is not haughty”
Soprano solo, baritone solo, chorus, harp, strings
