Except the Lord build the house,
They labor in vain that build it.

Vain, to rise up early,
Vain, to stay up late.
Vain to eat the bread of sorrows;
For he giveth his beloved sleep.

Except the Lord keep the city,
The watchman waketh but in vain.

Psalm 128

But blessed is everyone one that loveth the Lord.
For thou shalt eat the labor of thine hands:
Happy shalt thou be,
And it shall be well with thee.
